A quick and dirty home brew...

Add 1/3 of a cup of brown sugar to a 1.25 litre coke bottle filled with previously boiled water. Add 1 teaspoon of fresh crushed ginger (from the supermarket). Dissolve and when tepid add about 100 grains of dried yeast and seal the bottle.

In summer the bottle cannot be indented with a finger and is then ready to be consumed for the next 10 days. Place in the refrigerator for 3 - 4 hours. A cool refreshing drink over dinner.

Be careful on releasing the cap. Any explosions are rather harmless.

Half a teaspoon of sqeezed lemon juice adds a variation.

Cheers !!!
