This is a less costly version of Rick Olivo's original posting. It's less
costly because it uses syrup instead of dme. Strange Brewer himself said it is similar but less
rummy. I like it.

8 lbs of light syrup
1 lb of brown sugar
.5 lbs of chocolate malt
2 lbs of munich malt
2 oz. of black patent
2 oz. of roast barley

1 oz of fuggles and 1 oz of northern brewer for 75 minutes
1 oz of cascades for 10 minutes

Belgin Abbey Ale II yeast

steep grains at 150 deg for 1 hour sparge and boil with syrup, brown sugar
hopps as noted.

Ferment at 70 deg. f.
