Brewing Method: All Grain
Yeast: White Labs Irish Ale
Yeast Starter: 1 Liter
Batch Size: 5 US Gallons
Original Gravity: 1.052
Final Gravity: 1.030
Alcohol Content: 3 ABV %
Total Grains: 12 US lbs
Color: 78
Extract Efficiency: 65 %
Hop IBU's: 37
Boiling Time: 90 mins.
Primary Fermentation: 8 days @ 60*
Secondary Fermentation: 2 weeks @ 57*
Additional Fermentation:

Grain Bill:

7 lbs Marris Otter Pale
2 lbs Flaked Barley
1 lb Roasted Barley
1 lb Black Patent Malt
1 lb Chocolate Malt

Hop Bill:

1.5 ozs whole EK Goldings (4.75 Alpha) 60 mins.
1 ozs whole Fuggle (5 Alpha) 15 mins.

Mash Schedule:

156* for one hour

Brewers Notes:

Sour 24 ozs Guinness three days prior to bottling. Boil for a few minutes with one cup light DME and add to bottling bucket.

Flavour is really intense. This brew will blow the back of your brainpan off. Anyone wanting a mellower stout might want to back off the roasted malts.
