Brewing Method: All Grain
Yeast: 1056 , coopers, or english
Yeast Starter: a good idea; one pint+
Batch Size: 5 us gallons
Original Gravity: 1070
Final Gravity: differs
Alcohol Content: 6.5+ %
Total Grains: 12 # +1# corn
Color: nice
Extract Efficiency: differs %
Hop IBU's: alot
Boiling Time: 90 min
Primary Fermentation: 3-7 days or untill kr. starts to drop
Secondary Fermentation: 1-4 weeks @ closet temp
Additional Fermentation:

Grain Bill:

5# marris otter
5# organic 2-row
2# belgian munich
1# flaked corn or corn grits(cheaper but see notes)
2tsp gypsum in mash water

Hop Bill:

1oz chinook 90+min
1oz centinial 60+min
1oz domestic golding 40 min
1oz cascade 40 min
1oz sterling 20 min
1oz amarillo 10 min
1oz each of golding, cascade, and amarillo at flame out
2oz dry hop you choose in secondary

Mash Schedule:

single mash at 152 unless you use grits instead of flaked corn. if grits are used; boil grits in 1.5 gallons water. let cool for 1/2 hour and ad to mash that has been at 125
for 1/2 hour to yield a 152 mash temp.
sparge with 170+ water slowly to yield about 6 1/2 gallons
