This is a British mild ale, deep brown in color, but low in alcohol and not very bitter. It's a nice
brew for those folks who "don't like beer." Ferments quickly, and is drinkable relatively soon
after bottling.

O.G.: 1.032
F.G.: 1.009
Alcohol: 3% / vol
IBUs: 17

Ingredients required for 5 gallons:

3.3 lb. Northwestern Amber Malt Extract
1 lb. Light Dry Malt Extract
1 oz. Liberty Hops (boiling; 45 min) Alpha Acid-4.5%
Ale yeast--I use Wyeast #1338 European Ale
6 oz. Crushed Black Patent--steep for 30 minutes at 150 degrees F
