Hop IBU's: 30.3
Boiling Time: 90 min.
Primary Fermentation: stainless 55 deg. 1wk
Secondary Fermentation: stainless 40 deg. 2wk
Additional Fermentation: Lager 1 month @ 35

Grain Bill:

2 row pale 110 lbs
pilsner 110 lbs
Vienna 10 lbs
Wheat white 10 lbs
Flaked barley 10 lbs

Hop Bill:

Northern Brewer 6 oz. 60 min (9.2%)
Mt Hood 8 oz 60 min (4.8%)
Mt Hood 6 oz 30 min
Mt Hood 6 oz 5 min
Saaz pellets 8 oz. 5 min (3.0%)


Mash Schedule:

Single infusion mash at 150 degrees for 1 hour.

Brewers Notes:

This recipe was an attempt to duplicate a prize winning Kolsch that I made... I got to brew it at a local brewery in Anchorage (Midnight Sun)We made some substitutions...Mt Hood iinstead of Hallertaur, flaked barley instead of Dextrin malt.

We had a big beer at first 1.060, but added water to bring it down to what mine originally was. It turned out pretty close to mine...I'll post mine (5 gallons) when I find it!!!
