I have located a campground in the Iron River area known as Tri-Lake Timbers Resort and Campground that will be
delighted to have us... Watch for the New Bulletin Board that will be going up. This is a spectacular place... In the midst of
three spring-fed lakes, mid way between Ashland and Duluth near Iron River, WI It has RV parking on the lakeshore, Tent
camping, limited cabin space... Showers, cooking facilities, A BAR ON THE GROUNDS! hiking trails. Lots of woods to
run naked through... RatFest will be same as 2000 Thursday through Sunday August 16-19, but feel free to schedule your
vacation there for as long as you like. There are four cabins that sleep from 4-6 people... They also have space for extra
people at a $10 additional charge. They run from $80-100 a night. There are also two apartments available in the basement of the owner's home. There are also many, many resorts, campgrounds and motels in the area so finding a place if
camping at the grounds is not your thing. RV people need to let me know soon, and the cabins will go quickly too... I'd
encourage groups to get together for cabins, if possible to make best use of the space available. The campground will be in a
great area, on top of a knoll, great views. All the cabins have lake views, as do the RV sites which are on the lakeshore
itself. The bar is Northwoods rustic, with a pool table and dart board, jukebox and friendly bartenders (Shar and Daryl, the
owners) Look for the RF-2002 BBS- that's where reservations for all sites will be taken (Let's try not to make Shar nuts
with goofy phone calls.) An e-mail to me will get a brochure for the site, and I will have it availible on line as soon as
possible. Call mje anytime with questions (715-682-9709) I don't mind being made goofy... 715-682-2313 at work (Ask
for Rick... They don't know who the Strange Brewer is... Well OK, they do know who he is, but ask for Rick anyway.)
and I will try to get your questions answered.
Thanks for your kind patience!
